As women in banking, it is important that we lift each other up and celebrate each other's accomplishments. The entire purpose of the Girl Banker blog is to do just that! The Girl Banker of the Week series serves as a way to highlight Girl Bankers everywhere by telling their stories and motivating and encouraging other women in banking. It also is a great way for women in banking to connect! Read below about this week's Girl Banker of the Week!
Kelly Jordan | Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer | Farmers State Bank
Kelly is a 3rd generation community banker at Farmers State Bank in Quinton, OK where she serves as a Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
She is a proud Oklahoma State University alum where she graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Leisure Service Management. Furthermore, she is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking in Boulder, CO and represents Oklahoma on the Alumni Advisory Board. This role gives her the ability to be an advocate for GSBC while continue to connect with community bankers from all over the country. (This is how I met Kelly!)
When she isn't cheering for the OSU Cowboys or doing her day job, Kelly loves to do "fun, verging on crazy things." Said crazy things include riding a bike across Oklahoma in 7 days, bungee jumping, and ziplining. Her other favorite pastimes are playing golf and guitars. These fun, energetic outlets are her form of work-life-balance. Motivation for the day and every day: Don’t forget to PLAY
